Giant passenger ship brought 3,000 passengers to Marmaris
The passenger ship “Carnival Freedom”, based in Panama and belonging to the world”s largest cruiser company “Carnival Corporation & PLC”, serving approximately 140,000 passengers daily, has dropped anchor in Marmaris.
The 291-meter, 110,000 gross ton ship which dropped anchor in Marmaris at 11:30 a.m. the other day, has 1,150 crew members and 3,000 passengers, mainly Italians. While some of the passengers of the third visit to Marmaris this year of the “Carnival Freedom” went on prearranged tours, some went shopping in the city center.
It was announced that the ship, which has walking paths, 22 bars, a swimming pool, an entertainment center, a casino, internet cafe, an advanced golf program, conference halls and shopping center would leave Marmaris to sail to Izmir in the evening hours yesterday.
