Carnival at Sky on October 15-19



The 9th Ölüdeniz International Air Games take place between October 15-19 this year.

The organization committee which carries on working for air games since January is about to complete the works for this organization. Ölüdeniz International Air Games, witnessing interesting and amusing activities every year, aims to make tourism season become long-termed this year as well. After the aeronautic activity in France, Ölüdeniz International Air Games are the 2nd in the world and will witness magnificent air and beach activities this year too.

Organizator Kadri Tuðlu and Keramettin Yýlmaz, Mayor of Ölüdeniz made a speech concerning the air games. Some administrators attended them as the organization members.

Kadri Tuðlu, Ölüdeniz Air Games Organizator stated that, “We are going to carry out the 9th of air games this year. Our works carry on since January. We have determined the organization date as the second half of October this year as well, and the date is between 15th and 19th of October. As we told before, these dates are important in 2 ways. One of them is to make the tourism season of Ölüdeniz more advantageous to the other holiday destinations. No one doubts about it now. The other reason is that October is available for sports activities in the world. Because October is the beginning of glaciers, cold weather and minus degrees in Europe. Air temperature is 25 degress at those times in Ölüdeniz. Before the beginning of the 9th Ölüdeniz International Air Games, i can say proudly that we have become the 2nd at this sector in the world. Our air games are the 2nd after the organizations in France. There is a positive atmosphere due to the fact that the administrators have united. Low entrance prices are not determined for profit now but we see the effects of aiming more sports organizations. We are going to catch the single potential once again that we caught on October 2004. We are expecting more than 20 thousand sportsmen to come here until the end of October.”

Mayor Keramettin Yýlmaz noted that, “9th International Air Games will take place between October 15-19. The arrangements carry on. Ölüdeniz has become successful in paragliding in 2008 as well. The unity with the president of our district governor is checking Babadað. Hereby all the sportsmen who deal with paragliding are relaxed. Infrastructure unity will build our roads on the advancing days. We have talked regularly so far but we couldn’t succeed in infrastructure. Infrastructure needs to be done immediately. We have been conveying this matter to the ministry and governorship. We are really unhappy about the existing situation. The hotelliers in Ölüdeniz are going to spend the end of the season efficiently due to the air games.”
