Turkish Tourism Minister has promised to crackdown on Companies charging Tourists inflated prices, as predictions suggest that 26 million tourists will visit Turkey in 2008. Turkey reportedly has some of the most expensive duty free prices in Europe, with prices up to 4 times higher than other countries. This has led to complaints that Tourists are being exploited as cash cows. How many ex-pats spend money in Dalaman Airport ?, since the new airport opened, we haven't spent one lira in there as a protest against the extortionate prices. The Minister said," There are a lot of companies making a killing, and think they can charge what they please, and we will deal with these companies in an appropriate way, and these practices will not exist by 2010. We will be conducting checks and controls" We will see!!!!!!!!!!! It is estimated that 2.3 million British Tourists will visit Turkey during 2008.

Dalaman Airport charges are a rip off along with the Gocek Tunnel.
The Tunnel is probably the most expensive and shortest in Turkey.
