All Foreigners now need to have their own Personal Identity number the same as the Turks have. All persons with residence permits (blue book) have now been issued with this Kimlik Number or ID Number. The personal number is in addition too your Vergi Number and Residence Number You only have to enter your year of birth and Residence Permit number and it completes all the other details for you, but explanation of form is given below. tckimlik.nvi.gov.tr/Web/ForeignQueryIdentityNumber.aspxInput from the picture "Resim Doðrulama" On the left hand side you have Year of Birth then Residency Permit No. On the right hand side you have Name, Surname, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Year of Birth, Sex. Tick the box that says "Yabancı Kimlik No Sorgula" if you want to use the Virtual Keyboard. If you then click the blue "Yazdir" button it'll print the details in the form of an A5 certificate.

Another way is go to the Passport police in the Belediye, I needed one when I transferred my vehicle to be registered in Koycegiz. This was the first time I realised ex-pats also had an ID number. After checking the web site, my ways easier, it's all in Turkish, couldn't see an English version, and you need a printer.

Tried the website for my wifes ID, relatively easy, but you still need a printer.
