A friend went to pay his Car Insurance ( Compulsary Govt.) at the Sigorta, and the cost was 136 lira which was slightly cheaper than last year, oh good he thought. During a conversation with the Sigorta, the same car, Insured by a Turk, is 85 Lira. Apparently there is a surcharge for Foreigners on the Compulsary Govt. Insurance. The Sigorta spent nearly 2 hrs ringing round trying to remove the surcharge, but no luck. WHAT A RIP-OFF, they get you all ways.

Bearing in mind a Turk can let anyone drive and yet we are restricted, then I would agree
