Ramadan starts 21st. August for 30 days.
The drum and pipe ( 2 men ) will tour Koycegiz starting around 2.30 am until just before daybreak to ensure that everyone will have enough time to eat before fasting begins.
Don't forget at the end of Ramadan, when the "band" knock your door, you must give them money for waking you up.
I would suggest 20 lira as a minimum, and if you ignore them they will keep coming back. ;D ;D ;D

I dont know how many local Turks are upholding Ramadan, but I have total admiration for those that do. Its a long time from sunrise to sunset to fast, no water, no food and no smoking in these temperatures. There is no way I could do it
