I will never complain about Dalaman Airport again, apart from my continued criticism on drink and food prices.
I travelled Dalaman to Birmingham return recently, and the so called Birmingham International Airport is an embarassment to all Brummies.
We waited 1hr for our cases to appear on arrival, apparently this is the norm, and there is a sign showing 4 different case types
and the time it should take to appear on the carousel, a heavy case takes 95 mins to appear.
The return journey was even worse, it took 75 mins to get through security, out of 5 stations, only 1 was in operation and there were 2 flights going through at one time, thats roughly 450 passengers. Even the security staff were complaining and one security guard said " for an International Airport this is a disgrace and an embarrassment"
The flight before ours was due to board and the the passengers had to be fast tracked through security so they could get on their flight.
The reason once again is cost cutting, as B'ham Airport has to pay for the security, and again there is no consideration for passengers.
