The price of Crude Oil is $70 a barrel today, will we see a large reduction in the pump prices on the garage forecourts ??, not a chance When the price of petrol was 1.80 lira a litre, the price of oil was $78 a barrel, its now 3.90 lira a litre, £1.77 a litre at todays exchange rate. The only Oil Refinery in Turkey has only just come into profit in the first quarter of this year, back to my pet complaint, fuel is still the highest source of tax revenue for the Govt. The Cash Cow is still in operation.
