A message to all the ex-pats that imply that most locals rip them off.
I recently bought a gas converted car (7 days), the day I picked up the car it ran out of gas, called in garage and put 50 lira in.
Today the warning lights were only showing 1 green light, called into the BP garage in Koycegiz and told the attendant to put 50 lira in. After he disconnected the pipe he came round to the car, 1 minute he said, he gave me 18 lira back because the tank was full at 32 lira, so much for the rip off Turks.
The point I am making is that he could have pocketed the 18 lira and I wouldn't have been any the wiser.
