Throughout the 81 provinces, 436,000 people were fined for not wearing their seatbelts, 221,000 for using a mobile phone while driving, 122,000 for not using a speedometer

A total of 250,000 people were taken into custody for not abiding by traffic laws and 823,000 cars were taken off the road for consistently not abiding by traffic rules or having missing documentation to signify their ownership of the vehicle.
