My car was trashed by a Dolmus in Marmaris 18th March, I was stationery at traffic lights and the speed he hit me pushed me forward 30 metres. The rear of my car was totally trashed and the boot floor was crumpled up. Rang the Police, there in 10 mins. Breathalised both drivers, both zero, told to collect Accident Report next day.(That's another story !!!!)
Went to Sigorta on 21st March with photo's and Accident Report, told to take my car to a repair shop in Mugla on 23rd March.Left my car in Mugla, and they said it would be 15 - 20 days.
I was concerned that in the UK my car would be a right-off due to the crumpled boot floor. I knew they were working on my car so I went to Mugla to check if they had pulled the body correctly, they hadn't started spraying and the body was perfect, with the correct rear door gaps.
Gave them another 7 days to complete because I was going to the UK, collected the car yesterday, it had been ready for 7 days, the car looks perfect, very pleased with the finished job.
Cost to me, NOWT, I had CASKO (Fully Comp.) and the Insurance also paid for an Avis rental car for 7 days.
The moral of this story is, make sure you have CASKO INSURANCE on your vehicle.
