One of the advantages of living in Koycegiz is the central location. Only 45 minutes drive to Marmaris, 1 & 1/2 hours to Fethiye, 30 minutes to Dalyan, 25 minutes to Dalaman airport, 20 minutes to Ortaca, 1 hour to Mugla. All of these can be accessed from within Koycegiz. We have the main bus station at the entrance to the town, this also covers the rest of Turkey using the main bus services. The second smaller bus station is actually in the centre. Buses can be caught on all the main roads and run every 15 minutes. To certain areas, i.e. Dalyan, you will need to change bus at Ortaca.

Just to give you more information about the companies that go to rest of Turkey, like Ýstanbul. In the town we have Kamil Koc , Pamukkale and Metro; with these companies you can go to anywhere in Turkey. The average price for return from Koycegiz to Ýstanbul is 90 YTL . Around four buses leave each day. These buses have toilets, tea and coffee service, tv and stop for rest break. These buses can also be used for short journeys to Marmaris , Fethiye etc ...  Bulent |

Just a little bit of info on travelling to and from Dalyan.
When the dolmus stops halfway to Ortaca get off and get on the dolmus in front.
This takes you to Ortaca but not to the centre. Pay up here and get another dolmus to the centre of Ortaca. Then you can get another dolmus to Dalyan, where you pay again. Dalyan to Koycegiz is dearer than the other way. It is only about 5 YTL. If you take the Dalyan to Marmaris dolmus then expect to be dropped off at either the bust station just off the main road or farther in to Koycegiz where you can expect to have a 10 min walk down to the centre.

The bus from Fethiye to Marmaris via Koycegiz runs about every hour - my parents use it regularly when they are staying in the village.
I think the last time they used it, it was about £5.00 each return
It takes about an hour to get from Fethiye to Koycegiz
