I have been asked to put this posting on the Forum.
A Turkish person I know went to the Yucegelen at Mugla suffering from severe abdominal pains and diarrhoea, after numerous tests, the diagnosis was DYSENTERY.
The Hospital said a lot of people from Koycegiz had been to the Yucelen with the same problem, they suspect its the Koycegiz drinking water and are advising people in Koycegiz to " ONLY DRINK BOTTLED WATER" until investigations are completed. The Water Board has been informed as far as I am aware.
The Hospital said its OK if the water is boiled for hot drinks and cooking.

We have decided to start drinking Koycegiz tap water again, heard of no more problems with the water and there has been some heavy rain which must have brought the water table up. We prefer Koycegiz tap water to bottled water, so I will let you know if we get the trots.
