No one is a fiercer critic of Thomas Cook than me but on this occasion I am handing out a bouquet.
We booked a flight from Dalaman for the 19th Dec. flying out at 4.15 pm, due to a technical fault the plane was 9 hrs late leaving Manchester which meant it would arrive at Dalaman around 1.15 am.
Due to the Pilot running out of hours, he couldn't fly us back until 2.30 pm on the 20th Dec., 22hrs later.
We were informed at 10pm that we were staying in a Hotel over night, oops !!! there are some rough hotels in Dalaman so we expected the worst. Where did we stay ??, the 5 star Lykia Resort Hotel, 4 kms from the airport.
Dinner was served at 11pm, Breakfast at 7.30am, free unlimited phone calls to the UK, all paid for by Thomas Cook, can't complain at that.
On the flight back, everyone on board had a free hot meal even if they hadn't ordered one. ;D ;D ;D
WHAT A RESULT !!!! even if we did lose a days holiday, at least we did it in style.
