i read on land lights there will be a boot sale in koycegiz 27 th this month is it a secret or will someone who has arranged it let people know as i could do with a new pair boots

Are you sure its the 27th, thats a Friday, could be 29th, thats Sunday, and all boot sales are on a Sunday.
Does it count as working if you sell at a boot sale as you are earning money, and without a Work Permit you would be illegal. Oops, sorry some expats don't worry about that part of the Law.

Boot sale on FRIDAY 27th (we don't care if we break with tradition - rebels!-). All above board and agreed with the belediye. Charitable organisations are allowed to fund raise in this manner. The proceeds will be to ease the burden for the families from the Van earthquake area who are staying in the tourist school in Toparlar. There are lots of small children who have next to nothing and having a very difficult time at the moment. Please come along to the area next to the tourism office where we will be setting up our tables from 10.00 am. Stalls prebooked and paid will cost 10 lira and 15 on the day.
