Well, I got my Turkish driving Licence today,  finally made the decision and got all the necessary documentation together. I suppose it took around 5 hrs to obtain all the documentation from different offices and once presented at the Police they took 1 hour to issue my licence including having my fingerprints taken electronically.  My thanks to Bulent for taking me through the procedures after translating and notarising my UK licence. |

great news (a) wat is a driving licence (b)do you need any sort of licence in turkey and finaly (c) well done as you are now officaly the only inglish and turk in the village to have one of these

Question b) A fishing licence is accepted in place of a driving licence if you haven't got a d/l.  |

i have now looked into this some more and it would appear i am covered to drive as i have my captains licence so panick over will just show that when i get stopped

The vehicles you float around in steer like boats so your Captains Licence should be OK. !!!

quick reply just got stopped licence ok but had my captains hat on wrong way round all ok now
