RAMADAN

Ramadan starts Friday 9th July and lasts for 30 days.

I have a lot of respect for the Muslims that, in this heat, can go through the daylight hours (15 hours at this time of year) without food, drink and cigarettes if they smoke.

I am especially looking forward to my friendly Ramadan Drummer who insists on waking me up around 3.00 am. every day for a month.

The drummer is making a fortune, I have paid him 40 lira not to
come within 800m ( half a mile, for your benefit, because you don't understand this foreign stuff) of my house.

i new that would work i had a bet with the drummer that i could get money out of you
but he did say its his job to come round and be annoyeing so he will be there on the 9 th

Ramadan finishes Wedesday 7th August and SEKER BYRAM takes over for 4 days from 8th August.

I assume the Banks will be closed for 3 days, Thurs., Fri., and possibly Mon.

Handy Tip, when buying sweets for handing out on Seker Byram, only buy sweets YOU like, then the ones you have left you can eat to your hearts content.
